Jadon Sancho believes Chelsea can achieve great things with Cole Palmer on the team and praises the young player's exceptional talent, which he witnesses firsthand in training every day. Sancho is optimistic about the team's potential, stating that 'anything is possible' with players like Palmer contributing to their success.
Palmer’s stunning rise continued on Saturday as he scored four goals in Chelsea’s thrilling 4-2 Premier League win over Brighton.
All four of Palmer’s goals came in the first half, ensuring the 22-year-old became the first player in Premier League history to achieve that feat.
Sancho provided the assist for Palmer’s fourth and says he is delighted to link back up with someone he played with in Manchester City’s academy.
Palmer joined Chelsea in a £40m move last summer, while Sancho moved to Stamford Bridge on transfer deadline day last month after a dismal spell at Manchester United.
Sancho joined Chelsea on loan but the Blues have an obligation to sign him on a permanent deal next summer for between £25-30m.
‘It was a very intense game as you could see from the scoreline,’ Sancho told Chelsea’s official website after the 4-2 win over Brighton.
‘We kept working hard, we stuck to the game-plan even when we went behind so early on, and we knew that if we did this then we would get chances in front of goal.
‘Then it would just be up to us to take them, which we did – well, Cole did! When you have a player in your team like Cole Palmer, then anything is possible.
‘I’ve known Cole a long time, since our days together at City. I’ve always watched him and I always thought he would go on to be a great player. He’s showing that now at Chelsea.

Up Next‘We see what he’s capable of each day in training, we see the quality he has and honestly, it’s no real surprise to me to see him score four goals.
‘In fact, he could have scored five or six goals! I’m sure he will be fuming not to add to his tally but in all seriousness, he’s such a quality player.
‘Having a player like Cole alongside you is very good and I’m happy to assist him.’
Sancho has made an encouraging start to his Chelsea career and thanked the club’s fans for the reception he received on Saturday.
‘I thought I started off a bit slow [against Brighton] but I feel like I grew into the game,’ he added. ‘I managed to win the penalty and I got the assist for Cole, so I’m happy to be able to contribute.
‘Overall, I was just happy to play at Stamford Bridge for the first time as a Chelsea player. It was a great feeling and I really appreciated the reception I got from the fans.
‘It was a great feeling [to get a standing ovation from the fans] and my family and friends were in the crowd for the game, so that made it extra special.
‘I’m happy to have been able to assist for goals in recent games, I’m settling in well here and I just want to keep this momentum going and keep being able to assist my team-mates. Or even get a first goal, that would be nice!’
