New Delhi: Ravichandran Ashwin of Team India was seen sharing a light-hearted moment with teammate Devdutt Padikkal during the Brisbane Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. As Ashwin sat in the dugout, a fan shouted, "ee sala cup namde (this time the cup is ours)" at him, creating a cheerful atmosphere.
The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) supporter also encouraged Ashwin to consider joining the franchise in the future. Upon hearing the popular chant, the veteran player playfully gestured toward Padikkal, who was acquired by RCB in the IPL 2025 auction.
